Me and my art at MyGiulia Open House
As much as I sometimes demonize Instagram, I love the medium to connect with inspiring women. And that's how I came across MyGiulia, online magazine & boutique for optimists. Interesting in-depth articles that inspire and motivate me as a creative, paired with extravagant products from infectious women.
The friendly editors Christina Kaiser and Christine Klimaschka have accepted my invitation to my studio and a week later I was invited with a selection of my paintings at the OPEN HOUSE of MyGiulia. A uniquely colorful evening with a cross-generational group of women artists, entrepreneurs, journalists, directors and and and.
Although my daughter at this point still exclusively demanded me to go to sleep, I said YES to this evening. Initially, my mom was walking with my daughter in the area of the event and I could actually the first time after the birth just be ME, I Carina, I artist and exchange with other women, chat, try me through the culinary delicacies and enjoy. After a few hours, my mom and my daughter were then also allowed to briefly drop by the event and then it went home soon.
Even though I only witnessed part of the evening, it gave me so much. So much power. So much female empowerment. I finally got to meet women like artist Andrea Kollar and blogger Alexandra Palla in person and made so many new acquaintances! So in conclusion, once again an absolute reading recommendation: MyGiulia, since recently also with a terrific column by Pamela Rußmann.
